Having met each other on the dance floor, their young love blossomed and after 15 years, Courtney and Matt have created memories to last a lifetime, with many many more to come.
The proposal was something out of a rom-com. Being on holiday in New York, Matt had organised the perfect proposal; on a boat in the middle of Central Park. As they walked along the gorgeous tree lined path, the weather made a turn for the worse. Leaving Matt to improvise, with an impeding thunderstorm and a girlfriend trying to hurry back to the hotel, he knelt down on one knee over The Bow Bridge asking Courtney to marry him.
Being completely drenched by the rain, the lovebirds went on to plan a wedding that reflected their style and personalities.
Staying true to themselves, Courtney and Matt shared their love story with their dearest family and friends in a ceremony held at the gorgeous Harold Boas Gardens in West Perth, evoking memories of the proposal in Central Park, NYC. Between the Bride and her creative Bridesmaids, the ceremonial area was transformed to into a light and whimsical space to compliment the surrounding lake and gardens.
Located only minutes away, The Old Pickle Factory was the perfect venue for their Reception. An Industrial blank canvas, Courtney used subtle colours and textures to soften the space, creating warmth in its simplicity. The guests arrived to two breathtaking floral chandeliers by Floral Army, abundant groupings of Hydrangea, Phaleanopsis Orchids and the Brides favourite Early Grey Roses. The couple opted for a cocktail style wedding, as they loved how it allowed for a very social and relaxed feel. The guests were treated to canapés inspired by the Couple’s time in New York, and flowing Gin Spritz’s. Courtney and Matt made sure the formalities were over quickly so they could enjoy more time on the dance floor with their love ones.
The morning of the wedding Courtney wore the Peggy Gown in Snow with custom embroidery (Mrs Johnston). To complement her custom gown, Courtney wore the Ostrich Feather Bolero in Snow and her bridesmaids in the Infiniti Scarves in Blush worn as a Bolero.
